What I really enjoyed is that at the end of each book, there’s a tea dragon handbook/guidebook that teaches you more about the species, different type of tea dragons and how to care for them. The series gives off cottage core vibes because of the beautiful illustrations, animals and lushes greens that are so aesthetically pleasing to look at. The Tea Dragon Society series is a wholesome fantasy graphic novel about tea dragons and their owners (there’s great diverse character representation). While the plot is very different to Heartstopper - they are still cosy, heartwarming reads. If youre looking for diverse LGBTQ+ YA graphic novels then you need to read some of Kay ONeills work. I’m so glad they had all three books from the series on Kindle Unlimited so I could read them for free during my 30-day trial. A diverse graphic novel about dragons who grow leaves you can make tea from. At first glance, I thought it was a comic book for kids, but after giving it a chance, it became my first five-star read of 2023. With this novel being the second book in the series there was hope for more of a trusting relationship between Emilia and Wrath. The copious amount of angst between Emilia and Wrath becomes redundant through the chapters, leading the novel to carry the same tone throughout most of the story. “Kingdom of the Cursed ” by Kerri Maniscalco started off slow which made it hard to get past the first few chapters. Together, Wrath and Emilia must come up with a plan to save Emilia from her impending fate. At the feast, she will be the guest of honor and offer one of her greatest fears to the whole underworld. During Emilia’s stay, she gets an invitation to the Feast of the Wolf hosted by Gluttony. Wrath graciously allows Emilia to live in his manor while she waits for contact from Pride about their betrothal. Surrounded by evil things like three-headed hounds, steel-toothed horses, and seven wicked princes that want to destroy her while still reeling from her sister’s death, Emilia is more confused than ever, not knowing who to truly trust. Now living in the underworld with Wrath, Emilia’s whole world has (literally) turned upside down. Kerri Maniscalco’s Kingdom of the Cursed continues the story of Emilia and Wrath. It is not beautiful to read like a novel but nobody would expect that anyway, it is purely rated by its content and relevant information it holds, which, is immense. a new treatment of Chapter 1 to replace the text of my book Reading Capital. Also when reading this book you may pick up on little bits of Marx's humor spread throughout. For each chapter you will find an outline of Marxs argument followed by my. I can't imagine doing justice to Capital Volume 1 without putting forth the kind of effort that makes for the creation of a life-long connection. I imagine that most readers who take its full measure will come back to it again and again. One thing to bear in mind, it does take some time to get used to Marx's writing style but after that, and once you are past the two hardest chapters (1 and 2) it becomes more fluid to understand his theories - not to say that the first two chapters are too difficult just a bit more than the others. Capital Volume 1 is, in fact, a richly informative and very difficult piece of world-class research. In fact I think the world would be better if everybody understood it. If you have any economic, political or philosophical interests, I would highly recommend it. Rather than spend his time explaining what Socialism should look like, he goes into detail fully analyzing Capitalism, the contradictions within it and where we must stand in order to conquer it. Das Kapital is more than just another book by Marx, it is an accumulation of his best ideas and arguments. But a murder, a surprising prime suspect, a stubborn detective, and the town's reaction throw the two women together, and they form an unlikely alliance to solve a mystery and catch a killer. As different as night and day, Deborah and Callie are uneasy partners who simply want to make the best of a temporary situation. When two women-one Amish, one English-each with different motives, join forces to organize a successful on-line quilt auction, neither expects nor wants a friendship. She blends the familiar components consumers love in Amish books-faith, community, simplicity, family-with an innovative who-done-it plot that keeps readers guessing right up to the last stitch in the quilt. In this first book of a three-book series, author Vannetta Chapman brings a fresh twist to the popular Amish fiction genre. |
